About Me
I am Julie Hahs and I am the 7th grade homeroom teacher at Kelso C-7 elementary school! I teach 6th grade math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, 7th grade Literature, 8th grade Literature, Rosetta Stone and Geometry!
I graduated from Jackson Senior High in 1985 and received a B.S. degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from the University of Missouri - Columbia in 1989. In 2009, years after my children were born, I earned a Masters degree in Secondary School Administration from William Woods University - Fulton. This past school year, I earned my certification in elementary education. I have taught in the states of Missouri, Arkansas, and Illinois for a total of 23 years. About 14 years ago, I moved back home to Jackson, Missouri, where I currently live.
During the 2011 - 2012 and 2012 - 2013 school years, I received approximately 175 hours of training from an "Emints" grant our school received. I am now a certified "Emints" teacher. Because of this grant, Kelso C-7 has become one of the most technologically advanced schools in our area! Each of our students in grades 6-8 have their own laptop and our teachers have access to an incredible wealth of teaching strategies and technologies to use in our classrooms. These laptops have opened up a whole new world for our Kelso C-7 students and I am so grateful to have the opportunity to grow along with each and every one of my amazing students!
