Literacy Week
Literacy Week was amazing this year! Here we are skyping with Sarah Albee, the author of many children's books and historical non-fiction books! She volunteered her time to talk with our students about her newest book titled, "Poop Happened - A History Of The World From The Bottom Up"! Really got us thinking about the important role sanitation has played in the history of our world! Check out her book here.
Here are some of the fun activities we have done this year ...2014 - 2015!
One of our most exciting activities during Literacy week was when Mr. Jeff Cunningham came into our school and read a chapter from the Alex Rider novel, Scorpia Rising! Who better to read a story than our very own kfvs 12 news anchor! He loves to read and encouraged us all to read even more!
Lastly, we finished the week by performing a play called, "Montana Jones and the Gymnasium of Doom", to the 4th, 5th, and 6th graders! Wow! We have some talented dramatic actors and actresses here at Kelso C-7! Maybe even one or two comedians as well! Fun was had by all and you could say this play ended our Literacy week with a "BANG"! Congrats to all the students who played a part in this performance! You did a wonderful job!
